For the past 22 years, Kathy has served as a family nurse practitioner in rural south central Nebraska at the Franklin County Memorial Hospital and Rural Health Clinics. She has been an active member of NNP for 23 years serving on Outreach, Historian, and Educations Committees, as well as serving as President of NNP from 1998-2000 and 2006-2008. One of her greatest passions has been coordinating and conducting skin screenings at Husker Harvest Days since 2005. She serves as the historian for the organization collecting pictures, articles, publications concerning advanced practice nurses and NNP. Currently she is the co-chair of NNP Education Committee, a member of the Outreach and Historian Committees. Kathy is also a member of American Association of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurses Association, and Rural Nurses Association.
Anne Lorenz is a native of Bellevue, Nebraska. She received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, College of Nursing in Lincoln, Nebraska. She worked for eighteen years as a Registered Nurse and Oncology Certified Nurse, primarily working in medical oncology and infusion therapy, before returning to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for her Master's degree in Nursing. She is board certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. She has practiced with the Arthritis Center of Nebraska since 2008, working with Dr. Melvin Churchill to treat patients with rheumatic conditions. She is a member of the Association of Rheumatology Health professionals, Nebraska Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau nursing honorary. In 2009, Ms. Lorenz successfully completed the Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant Postgraduate Rheumatology Training program through the American College of Rheumatology. Anne has served on the Education Committee for several years, and has served as the Vendor Coordinator as well as Co-Chair.
Heidi Kile graduated from UNMC in 1992 and 2003. She is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She is currently employed by The Physician Network and works at Nebraska Heart Hosptial. She has served as an Education Committee member, Chair for 2 years and is currently serving as the Nebraska Nurse Practitioners website manager.
